HPS received a call about two horses in Stanley County
in need of help. One was very thin and the other was lame in his hindquarter. When we arrived, the thin horse
had found a home so we left our phone number with the new owner in case they needed help.
The other horse
was a little black Tennessee Walking horse. (He didn't look like one but the owner said that she had papers on him.)
The horse was lame in his hindquarter, and the owner said that her ex-husband, who weighed 300 pounds, had been riding him
and she didn't think that she could keep him off the little horse. She gladly released the horse into the care of
HPS.
