Twinkie is a cute, little sorrel gelding.   He was very thin when he arrived at the sanctuary but has been quickly gaining weight now that he has a quality feed and ample hay to eat.

He is a friendly little guy that loves people.  We all get a laugh at the way he wiggles his ears and nose when he wants attention.  We are looking forward to his full recovery.

Twinkie has been diagnosed with ringbone in his left front leg and with a neurological disorder that makes him unsteady in his hindquarters.  We are treating the ringbone with DMSO and also treating him for EPM with a natural remedy designed to kill protozoa made from olive leaf..
